I have over 20 years of industry experience in graphic design and marketing. I'm passionate about strategic thinking, brand story-telling, crafting visuals and typography, distilling complex information.
I love to create memorable campaigns with relevance and impact. I have a high level of attention to detail and deliver creative solutions that are pleasing on the eye and are designed to build customer engagement.
I want my clients to love every single aspect of the work that I create. I pour my heart and soul into understanding your customers, their motivations and desires. I want to understand your objectives and to deliver results for you. I am driven to produce the best creative solution for your business that will engage and resonate with your customers.
I encourage you to fall in love with the design work that I will create for you.
These are the stages of my design process:
1. Finding the right match
2. The first date
3. Mutual attraction
4. Infatuation
5. True love
I like to think of myself as a creative match-maker. I design captivating visuals that will attract the right people to your business. I want you to develop meaningful relationships and not just have a one-night-stand. I delve into your company's key attributes and convey them to your customers with charisma and charm to win their hearts.
My aim is to provide a long lasting campaign with a strategy to retain those customers long-term. I understand there may be several suitors that you are trying to attract and I want to understand them, to get inside their heads and walk in their shoes. I want to tell your story in an authentic way. My clients must share my passion for top notch design work. If you are looking for something in a hurry, I'm not the right designer for you. Great ideas need time to incubate, develop, blossom and grow.
Let's go on a first date to check for a connection or chemistry. I want to get to know you, understand your values and unique traits, as well as your ideal partners that you are seeking. I want to discuss the design brief and find out the main objective and the scope of work. I need to establish trust and I am hoping to find a deep connection. I hope the feeling will be mutual!
If we both like what we see, and have great chemistry, let's make it official! We will kick-start the design project. Let's focus on finding out what makes you attractive and identify the unique benefits that your customers will find attractive, so we can turn their heads.
At this stage, I like to soak up as much information as I can to gain a deep understanding of your place in the market. I want to find out everything about you and build up a detailed picture of your business, your customers and their own needs and desires. Using strategic thinking, we make a plan together. Essentially I turn into a bit of a stalker and become a bit obsessive about your company. But in a good way.
I will create a presentation with an initial concept, and visuals. We will work together to craft stunning creative work that your customers will engage with and hopefully fall in love with and stick around for the long-term.
For a short while, I lived in Arusha, Tanzania, where I designed the coffee packaging for this family-owned coffee business. Edelweiss is a single-origin coffee grown on the fertile volcanic slopes of the Edelweiss Estate in Oldeani, Tanzania. The farms are located high up, in Oldeani, on the rim of the famous Ngorogoro Crater. The farms border the Ngorongoro forest where indigenous trees and bush grow and elephants, buffalos, lions and antelope roam.
For the foil pouch packaging, I used bold animal prints to reflect the amazing wildlife that inhabit the area. I designed the white Edelweiss flower to be placed around the valve to reflect the name of the farm, and the beautiful white flowers that bloom on coffee plants before the red cherries appear.
