Important information about Coronavirus for Doric speakers in North East Scotland!
This is my personal response to the UN's call for creatives to communicate important messages about Coronavirus in local communities.
Please share @WHO @NHSGrampian @NicolaSturgeon #FlattenTheCurve #Covid19
I knew that the Government ‘Stay Home, Save Lives, Save the NHS’ would have the most impact in the North East if they were translated into Doric, the local language spoken in North East Scotland. The local community embraced the campaign and shared it with those who have a connection to North East Scotland.
I published a series of digital posters on my Bramble Graphics Facebook page on 4 April 2020 and they reached a whopping 1.4 million people and had 12,000 shares on LinkedIn. BBCNewsScotland interviewed me on the radio and published an article about the campaign. NHS Grampian used the posters on their social channels and in situ in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
